ALICE MÅNSDOTTER VIKLUND

ALICE MÅNSDOTTER VIKLUND is a playwright, screenwriter, and director with experience in writing and directing for a variety of media, such as film, TV, podcast, theatre, and live shows.
Since March 2024, Alice has been working as a development producer at the production company Jarowskij/Yellow Bird, one of the largest and most established drama production companies in the Nordics, where she focuses on script development and on discovering and shaping new ideas for film and television.

She is also currently studying at the highly regarded Alma Screenwriting Program.

In 2018, Alice premiered her first play “Barnens scener ur ett äktenskap” at the Bergman Week on Fårö. Since then, she has written and directed numerous stage plays which most recently include the popular live shows "Det Skaver Live: Överallt & Ingenstans" and "Berg och Gynning Live”.

Recent work includes writing episodes for the acclaimed and successful Viaplay series "Leva Life” (season 2). The series is produced by FLX and starring Hanna Ardéhn, who plays Nora — a young and vibrant journalist, who receives terrible news: a life-threatening cancer diagnosis. Alice has also worked as a writer and dramaturge for the popular podcast sitcom "Stammis" for Spotify.

In 2020, Alice paved her way into screenwriting with her short film "Min sorg is my castle" featuring Alva Bratt, Alexandra Dahlström, and Tina Pour Davoy, which premiered on TriArt Play. In 2022, Alice worked together with Tomas Alfredson on translating and transcribing scripts for the SVT series "Trolösa"

Human relationships are often in the centre of Alice's storytelling. In her writing, contrast is set against each other – raw meets fun, the everyday meets the grand – all while maintaining authenticity and heart. With her interest in dramaturgy, she also explores how to tell a story, regardless of genre or medium. In addition to Alma, Alice has an educational background in drama and script writing, including studies at Biskops Arnö and Johan Borups Højskole in Copenhagen, as well as Liberal Arts studies at the University of Gothenburg. Her career began as a director's assistant at Dramaten and Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, where she gained valuable experience working on several plays.
