ANDREA ÖSTLUND

 
 

ANDREA ÖSTLUND likes telling stories about complex characters and relationships. She has a unique voice and a great sense of humor. Andrea has held a number of different positions within the film industry and is today one of Sweden’s most acclaimed directors. 

Her extensive work ranges from writing the celebrated children’s play “Katten från Rom” (“The cat from Rome”) and award winning shorts that have travelled over thirty festivals from Krakow to Sao Paolo to prestigious drama series such as “30 grader i februari” (“30 Degrees in February”).

Her latest work includes directing season two of SVT’s biggest drama series; “Vår tid är nu” (“The Restaurant”). Andrea has a Bachelor degree in Film Directing and she is a senior lecturer at Academy Valand Film in Gothenburg.
