Artur Bagheri (b.1998) is a screenwriter, author and poet who has worked in several journalistic areas, including SVT and Radio P3, until he decided to follow his lifelong dream – writing.

Whether it delves into drama or comedy, Artur loves to portray marginalized communities, diaspora and its people, since these portrayals have historically not been three-dimensional enough. Not necessarily that they should be flawless, but rather, that they should be raw and real. This is something Artur feels has always been missing from mainstream representation.

In 2019, after studying journalism in Phoenix, Arizona, he started working at SVT as researcher and editor for several cultural and societal programs (e.g. PSL, Kulturnyheterna, SVT Opinion, Radio P3/Munck Studios).

Artur also helped with the writing for the hip hop-forum Dopest. In 2021, Artur worked as an editor for the Number 1-podcast Sex & Fördom (Acast/A&F Production). He also worked as a writing-mentor for Spotify Sound Up.

In 2022, Artur was selected to be featured at the AKT UNG poetry performance, where he got to read at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm during the International Poetry Festival. In 2023, Artur won the prestigious Tensta Konsthalls Textpris, and he was interviewed and featured in 20TAL’s literary magazine’s eighth number.

Artur has co-created and written the hit coming-of-age-series Haffa (SVT), which was nominated for a Kristallen award in 2024.

Artur graduated from the highly regarded Alma Screenwriting Program in 2025.

His debut poetry collection, Notes of the Prince, is published by 20TAL. He is currently working on his fiction debut.

Artur Bagheri’s debut Notes of the Prince contains contemporary love poetry and post-orientalist reflections set to the sounds of trap. The lyrical self is framed as a “party prince”, offering himbo takes on geopolitics. It’s a poem about beauty, heritage, and the unconventional diaspora — an internal and external journey that takes him from both sides of Stockholm’s city limits to New York.
