DANIEL DI GRADO

 
 

Daniel Di Grado is a director and scriptwriter active in film, television and theater both in Sweden and the United States. His American debut was the horror movie ORACLE for Universal Pictures. In Sweden he has worked with all major networks and some of Sweden’s top production companies to great success.

Daniel is especially drawn to projects with strong characters. Executing them with meticulously composed images and good storytelling. He is known as an actor’s director who works closely with the talent and gives them freedom and guidance in order to perfect their performances. Daniel is a strong beliver in the collective work that comes with doing movies, allowing his co-workers to explore and push themselves in order to reach the core of each project. He predominately works in genres that border to the fantastical but has worked in all kinds of genres. 

Born in Stockholm he started his career as an assisting director in the 90’s and turned to directing at the start of the millennium. A hard-core movie fan since childhood he is passionate about all kinds of movies. Mainstream to B-movies and over to Art House films, with a special fondness of movies that deals with the terrifying and macabre. 

Besides his work in television, film and theater Daniel has directed several music promos and commercials.
