Henrik Georgsson
Henrik Georgsson is an award-winning and highly respected Swedish director of theatrical feature films, TV drama series and documentaries.
He is best known for his outstanding work on the international hit series Bron/The Bridge, which has received several international awards and nominations, including winning the Prix Europa for Best TV Drama, a Dagger Award for Best International TV Drama, a Golden Nymph at the Monte Carlo Television Festival, and a BAFTA nomination for Best International TV Drama.
Henrik combines great performances from actors with a strong visual ambition across a wide range of genres – from colourful and funny dramas for children, teenage love stories, and warm feel-good drama to chilling, suspenseful crime series and emotionally strong drama series.
His recent work includes the six-hour-long true-crime documentary series Knutby - I blind tro/Pray, Obey, Kill for HBO. It is a documentary about a Swedish small-town congregation that turned into a sect with fatal results. Henrik has also worked on the British crime drama series Grace, based on the bestselling Roy Grace novels by Peter James.
