Jakob Bjerkesjö

 

Jakob Bjerkesjö is a screenwriter, author, director, and TV editor with over a decade of experience. Since 2012, he has worked as a director and editor in television and advertising, earning awards and nominations from the Emmy Awards, Kristallen, Guldägget, and Spinn.

In 2019, Jakob decided to pursue his childhood dream of working in comedy. He started an anonymous account on Instagram where he created memes and wrote jokes. The account has since grown to become one of the largest in the country, with hundreds of thousands of followers. Its success led to mainstream media publicity, the production of TV documentaries about him, and even the publication of his first book.

In 2023, Jakob began his journey as a professional screenwriter and director, earning his first credits for En häxas handbok (SVT) and Bäst i test (TV4). He was selected to participate in Stockholm Talents 2025 with his passion project Geisk, a horror film rooted in Gotlandic folklore. He is currently working on several feature and short film projects, as well as writing, directing, and editing for television.
