Gunnar A.K Järvstad made his feature debut with Trädgårdsgatan (2017) and the film was nominated for a Guldbagge for best screenplay.
He then continued to write for TV on Dragomir Mrsic's nordic noir Alex, and on the first season of Top Dog based on Jens Lapidus' novel. Gunnar's second feature film was a sequel to the Danish fantasy hit Skammerens Datter, and it won the SVEND award for Best Children's Film 2019 in Denmark. The screenplay was also nominated for the Danish equivalent of a Guldbagge (The Robert Award) for Best Adaptation. He then co-wrote Orca (2020) with Josephine Bornebusch and was again nominated for a Guldbagge.
At the moment, he is developing feature films for Strive Stories, Meta Film and Anagram, and two TV series for Warner Bros. Stockholm.
