LINA MARIA MANNHEIMER is an Award winning director who began working as a director in Paris in 2009 where she launched her 5-year-long project that became the films “Kontraktet / The Contract”, “The Five Senses” and “Ceremonin / The Ceremony”.
“Parning / Mating”, Mannheimer’s first film in Swedish, started as an experiment. It became a film that expanded the ability of documentary film to capture contemporary life, by merging it with digital communication technologies. Mannheimer works in different forms and formats, but her profound interest in portraiture is constant. She excels in illuminating vastly different but always complex and multi-layered human lives.
