LINN MANNHEIMER

LINN MANNHEIMER is an award-winning Swedish screenwriter, director and producer working across television drama.

She is a character-driven storyteller with a distinct auteur voice, often exploring love, identity and moral responsibility in times of societal change. Her work frequently moves between fiction and reality, combining intimate emotional narratives with a strong sense of social observation.

She recently completed studies in criminology, further informing her interest in systems, guilt and the individual’s position within institutional structures.

She is the creator, head writer and director of the drama series Heartbeats (TV4), based on the Norwegian original Hjerteslag (TV2). She also developed, sold and co-wrote the acclaimed SVT Christmas series Kronprinsen som försvann, winner of the Kristallen Award for Best Children’s Programme.

Earlier work includes the comedy series Trettiplus (SVT), winner of the Swedish Comedy Award and still in rotation a decade after its premiere, as well as Sjukt Oklar (SVT), awarded Best Scripted Format at Riagalan.

Linn works across both original concepts and adaptations, with a strong focus on development and long-form storytelling. Current projects include a limited series set in early 1930s Europe and a contemporary character-driven thriller (Osa Katt).
