MALIN SOHLMAN MÖLLER is a scriptwriter with a broad, yet specific palette. Her main strength is comedy and among her work we find episodes of Swedens most successful comedy series SOLSIDAN as well as SJÖLYCKAN.

Born into a family of film workers, she started out early working in various functions in tv-productions. After a few years working with props and make up, as first ad, and script supervisor she abandoned the industry to study Criminology and Forensic psychology at Stockholm University. She then went on to live in the US for almost ten years, first New York, where she attended various screenwriting seminars, such Robert McKee´s story seminar, and then LA where she started develop her own projects.

Since moving back to Sweden, Malin is now busy as a screenwriter working with all the major production companies. For Malin to find a story funny, it doesn’t have to be a comedy script. It´s her conviction that comical situations can be found in the most serious moments of life and this genre exceeding writing is the trademark of Malins work.

Her criminology background sets a mark in her writing and more often than not, her own projects evolves around the theme of crime and punishment, which she believes is to be found in most social interactions. Overall her writing is very committed to theme and however light the nature of the project, the theme will show the way for the story.
