ROLAND ULVSELIUS develops exciting new TV-series that connect with the audience. He is a firm believer in strong concepts and dynamic entertainment.
He started as a stand-up comedian in the 90’s, capping off his Swedish career with appearances in Släng dig i Brunnen before moving to London were he worked as a comedian for two years. Returning home to Sweden, he put his focus on his main passion in life – writing. Establishing himself as one of Sweden’s premier comedy writers, he has written more than 22 different comedy shows in Swedish television as well as five hit web series, three of which he also created.
After gaining valuable experience as a developer at Tre Vänner and SF Studios he decided to leave comedy for drama and thrillers when he together with Ola Norén created “Rig 45” a hit thriller series for ViaPlay with worldwide distribution by ITV. In “Rig 45” Roland also wrote episodes as well as shared show-running credit with Ola Norén.
He is currently writing two drama series for SVT as head writer and the summer of 2023 Roland published his debut novel with Ola Norèn; “Dalai Larsson” (Romanus & Selling).
