Søren Balle is an award-winning Danish director working on both TV shows and feature films. He works across a multitude of genres and projects, from high-concept TV shows to independent feature films. His work has consistently been sought after for its exceptional quality, authenticity and high level of performance.
Søren graduated from the Directors' Programme of the Danish National Film School with his debut feature film The Sunfish, which was nominated for 15 national awards, winning him a Best Screenplay award, as well as a Dragon Award nomination for Best Nordic Director. He has since worked as a lead director, showrunner and screenwriter on numerous projects ranging from the Netflix series Equinox to DR’s Follow the Money and Adam Price’s Ride Upon the Storm. He also directed the TV series Oxen.
For Søren, it is crucial that projects are driven by ambition, depth and a strong narrative.
