Ebba Stymne is a Stockholm-based screenwriter, dramaturg and script consultant.

Currently, Ebba is in development with a drama series for Strive Stories, a company run by producer Nicklas Wickström Nicastro and Jens Lapidus (Snabba cash). She is also developing another TV series with another major company.

Previous work includes screenwriting for Young Royals (Netflix), an international hit series that premiered in 2021 and won the Kristallen Awards (the Swedish Emmy) for Best Youth Drama and Programme of the Year in 2022.

Ebba’s previous work includes serving as head writer for the dramedy Dumped (2022, Discovery+), a series exploring anxiety and mental health issues based on an original idea by Therese Lindgren, one of Sweden’s most prominent influencers and YouTubers. Prior to this, Ebba worked as an episode writer for the horror series Dystopia (2021, Viaplay).

Ebba graduated from the screenwriting program at Stockholm University of the Arts in 2018. Premiering at the Göteborg Film Festival, her graduation film Flockdjur (Domesticated), was praised by the film magazine FLM and featured on its cover that year.

Ebba is fascinated by the absurdity of everyday life. As a writer, she aims to capture the space where the mundane and eccentric aspects of being human in this peculiar world intersect. She draws inspiration from writers and filmmakers like Charlie Kaufman, Raphael Bob-Waksberg, John Waters, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
