Jacob Seth Fransson
Jacob Seth Fransson is an experienced screenwriter and director. He has worked as a screenwriter for some of the most viewed and critically acclaimed series in Sweden, such as the drama series Bonusfamiljen/The Bonus Family and the hit comedy show Solsidan/The Sunny Side. He is also one of the creators of the latter, which has won numerous awards and nominations.
In the spring of 2022, he worked as a screenwriter on Amazon Prime’s first Swedish original series, the political satire Toppen, produced by FLX. At the moment, Jacob is developing an original feel-good feature film. He is also working as the creator and head screenwriter on a series based on true events, which is currently in development at a production company.
After ten years of working as a journalist, he started writing jokes for panel shows and, later on, for comedy series. Jacob writes in a wide range of genres and for different audiences. He has created and written many hours of Swedish comedy, but in recent years he has also worked with and developed projects leaning more towards the drama genre.
Jacob also works as a director. He has previously directed several episodes of Solsidan/The Sunny Side, Kontoret/The Office (Swedish remake of The Office) and Familjen Holstein-Gottorp.
