IRAM HAQ is a Norwegian-Pakistani filmmaker with as an Art Director, educated at Westerdals School of Communication. Haq became known in Norway as an actress when she starred in the film ”Import - Eksport” in 2005. She also acted in the Varg-Veum films ”Borettslaget” and ” Berlinerpoplene”.
Haq began directing in 2004 when she wrote the short film “Trofast”. In 2009 she wrote and directed ”Skylappjenta” later selected at Sundance Film Festival.
Her feature debut as both director and writer came in 2013 with ”Jeg er din” / “I Am Yours” and her latest feature, ”Hva vil folk si” / “What will people say”, was awarded the People’s critics award in 2018.
In 2020 Haq directed three episodes of the drama series “När støvet har lagt sig” / “When the Dust Settles” for DR. The show follows eight different people about the before and after of a terrorist attack in Copenhagen.
Haq is now writing on her next drama series for NRK.
