FRIDA BOISEN is a Swedish journalist, author, speaker, moderator and TV presenter.
The Media profile Frida Boisen made her debut as novelist in 2020, with the gripping, strong and touching autobiographical novel BERÄTTA ALDRIG DET HÄR (“Never Tell”). Boisen had never before said a word to anyone about a massive family secret. A secret that weighed her down with guilt for so many years. The book has been widely praised and recognized in the media and amongst critics and readers, the book has sold more than 100 000 copies and topped the best-selling lists both for the paperback and the pocket edition. The audiobook has topped all major Swedish audiobook services. At Storytel, the listeners have rated the book with an average of 4.7 out of 5 possible.
Apart from this Frida Boisen has received thousands of messages, emails and text messages from readers saying how the book has touched them deeply, inspired them to finally tell their lifelong secrets regarding the prevailing taboos on suicide and suicide prevention. And many times, this has led to readers changing their own lives as well as their close ones.
In September 2021, Boisen released book number two in the autobiographical series, called DU ÄR INTE LÄNGRE MIN DOTTER (“You are no longer my daughter”). The sequel covers the relationship with Boisen’s father Peter, in a broken father-daughter relationship. It tells the story of how violence, abuse and misery lurks below the perfect surface of success, luxury and cocktail parties.
In 2020 Boisen received a Kristallen (Swedish Emmy) for the tv show "Trolljägarna" and is one of the Sweden’s strongest voices in the popular debate, she is known as a columnist for both Expressen and Aftonbladet, Sweden’s largest news papers. Over the years she has worked as editor-in-chief and publisher for a number of leading newspapers and magazines in Sweden.
In 2019 she received the award for ”Digital Influencer of the Year” and ”Female Entrepreneur of the Year”. She was awarded for ”Årets Nätängel” (The Year’s Online Angel) in 2020, she has also received a price form the UN Federation, she has been awarded as ”Digital Leader of the Year”, ”The Year's Digital Super Profile” as well as received ”World Champion in Social Media” at the INMA Awards in San Francisco.
Boisen has previously written the books “Digital success” (year 2015) and“ Digital passion” (year 2018).
